<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heater suitable in jam removal by providing a mechanism in which the own weights of an induction heating member and heating rotor are not applied as they are when pressure is released in a nip part.SOLUTION: An image heater comprises: a belt unit having an endless belt configured to heat a toner image on a recording material in a nip part; a coil unit having a coil provided outside the endless belt and used to heat the endless belt by means of electromagnetic induction; a holding mechanism holding the coil unit; a driving rotor configured to rotate and drive the endless belt and forming a nip part between the endless belt and itself; a pressing mechanism configured to press the endless belt toward the driving rotor so as to form a nip part; a releasing mechanism configured to release a pressing operation performed by the pressing mechanism with respect to the belt unit; and an energizing member attached to the coil unit, holding the longitudinal one end part of the belt unit so as to surround it, and configured to energize the belt unit toward the coil unit.</p> |
