PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator of a high frequency signal having a wide modulation band in the frequency band of high frequency signals.SOLUTION: The optical high frequency signal generator comprises an optical comb generator 11 generating an optical comb signal, an optical demultiplexer 13 which demultiplexes the optical comb signal generated from the optical comb generator 11, an optical coupler 15 which combines the optical comb signals demultiplexed by the optical demultiplexer 13, an optical mixer 17 which generates the differential frequency signal of the optical frequency components coupled by the optical coupler 15, and a first optical filter 19 for extracting a predetermined component from a part of the optical comb signal output from the optical demultiplexer 13. The differential frequency signal is generated when the optical mixer mixes the optical component extracted by the first optical filter 19, and the optical component of the optical comb signal demultiplexed by the demultiplexer. |
