<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projecting component which can be applied to various vertically-roofed (vertically tiled)external structures constructed on the roof of a new or existing building for installation of a solar cell system or a greening structure at a low manufacturing cost, and a structure for installing an external component using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A projecting component 1 to be disposed on a roof surface 5 having a peak part 51 and a valley part 52 which are successively arranged comprises a leg part 11 which extends along the inclined surface constituting the peak part 51 and an installation part 12 of an external component 6 or a supporting material to support the external component at the apex of the peak part 51.
