The system has directional specific transmitting antennas (10b, 10c) provided on-board of a wheeled vehicle (2), and transmitting characteristic data or diagnosis information in a main transmitting direction (DE) and a main transmitting lobe (LE). Receiving antennas (11) are structurally demounted from the vehicle. The transmitting antennas are positioned relative to the vehicle and a track (7) with the transmitting direction. The lobe obliquely crosses the receiving antennas, where a duration during which the receiving antennas are in the lobe is increased when the vehicle moves on the track. An independent claim is also included for a wheeled vehicle.
