<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall prevention device for falling objects in a scaffold, which comprises a gap shielding device capable of surely closing a narrow gap which is formed in the state where a falling object receiving device is mounted in a scaffold construction body. <P>SOLUTION: A gap shielding device (20) comprises a fixed member (21) which is fixed to a proximal end of a falling object receiving device (4) mounted in a scaffold construction body, and a shield member (23) which is connected freely rotatably to the fixed member via pivot means (22). The shield member (23) is configured to close the gap (S) by being erected at an angleθfrom the fixed member (21) toward the scaffold construction body (1) via the pivot means (22) in the state where the falling object receiving device (4) is turned to an operable attitude, to change the angleθwhile following up an attitude change when the attitude of the falling object receiving device (4) is changed, and to be automatically folded such that the shield member (23) overlaps the fixed member (21), while following a storage attitude when the falling object receiving device (4) is turned to the storage attitude in an erected state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
