<p>According to one embodiment, an image sensor, which may form part of a solid-state imaging device, such as a camera, comprises a photoelectric conversion element array, a light collection optical array, and a mirror unit that separates colors according to wavelength. Of the light that enters the image sensor, the colors are separated and at least a first colored ray is transmitted by the mirror unit to a dedicated photoelectric conversion element. The mirror unit reflects at least a second and third colored ray toward a laminate photoelectric conversion element for the second and third colored ray.</p> |
