<p>The present invention relates to a gaming method and computerised apparatus associated with gaming based wagering activities. The gaming method relates to an event having a number of event participants, wherein the event determines a finishing order for at least some event participants, such as a golf tournament or horse race. The method includes defining a constant n prior to the event which is less than the number of participants. The method also accepts a plurality of wagers prior to the event on at least one of the participants. The method then determines the eligibility for a dividend for each wager made on an event participant that finishes within the top n finishing positions. An inverse relationship exists between each of the top n finishing positions and the dividend amount respectively associated with each of the top n finishing positions. A user interface may be provided with display elements including a wagering calculator, a menu for listing competitors and a win margin percentage.</p> |
