<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly productive method and an apparatus for cutting a radiograph conversion plate which does not cause any crack on the radiograph conversion plate produced by a vapor phase deposition method, can prevent the edge of the cut portion from being fused by laser-beam for cutting and can ensure high quality of the radiograph conversion plate including its edge and stability of the product dimensions. <P>SOLUTION: The cutting apparatus is used for cutting the radiograph conversion plate by holding the radiograph conversion plate onto a support base by a sucking means and scanning the plate with a laser beam along the same scan line a plurality of times, when the radiograph conversion plate having a multilayer structure composed of a support formed of a polymeric material and a phosphor layer formed on the support by the vapor phase deposition method, is cut by the laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
