1. A method for half-duplex (HD) operations by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
determining, by the UE, an overlap in at least one uplink-downlink subframe in which an uplink subframe and a downlink subframe on different component carriers (CCs) used to communicate with the UE by a base station overlap; and following at least one prioritization rule of uplink-downlink subframe overlap, by the UE, to determine whether to transmit or receive during the at least one uplink-downlink subframe, wherein the at least one prioritization rule dictates that the UE:
transmits during the at least one uplink-downlink subframe when the UE has at least one of uplink data or uplink control data to transmit in the at least one uplink-downlink subframe;is configured to receive a signal in a downlink transmission on at least one CC during the at least one uplink-downlink subframe when the UE has no uplink data or uplink control data to transmit during the at least one uplink-downlink subframe; and discards the signal received in the downlink transmission based on signal quality of the received signal. |
