The present invention relates to a multicasting method and a multicasting controlling apparatus which enable multicasting to be performed efficiently by considering redundancy of nodes in each sector when multicast data are transmitted in a virtual wireless LAN environment comprising a plurality of wireless APs and by controlling the order of multicasting sectors covered by directional antennas of each AP. By using the multicasting method and the multicasting controlling apparatus, collision can be prevented when data are transmitted by multicasting. The number of transmission times can be reduced by space reusing capability of the directional antenna.
