1. An image processing method for converting the brightness of an image by image scanning, the method comprising:
obtaining an image and dividing the image into a plurality of blocks in a first scanning; generating a histogram of a brightness of each of the plurality of blocks; equalizing the histogram of each of the plurality of blocks; generating a tone map for each of the plurality of blocks based on the equalized histogram; determining an assumption block around a pixel of the image; upon completing two lines of blocks in the first scanning, identifying calculation object blocks which have an overlap portion with the assumption block in a second scanning; determining a brightness of each calculation object block according to a repetition ratio for each calculation object block; adding the brightness of each calculation object block and assigning the added brightness as a brightness of the pixel; and repeating the first scanning and the second scanning in parallel for remaining lines of blocks of the image. |
