The present invention relates to a method and a system for focusing ultrasonic wave transmission and reception using a plane wave. More preferably, the method for focusing ultrasonic wave transmission and reception using a plane wave comprises: a step where at least one piece of image information about an ultrasonic image of a target body is inputted into an image information input unit; a step where a transmission beam focusing unit detects an optimal transmission angle for transmitting a plane wave based on the inputted image information; a step where the transmission beam focusing unit detects an optimal number of plane wave transmission times when transmitting the plane wave based on the inputted image information; a step where the transmission beam focusing unit reflects delay time in the plane wave to be transmitted; a step where an arrangement converter transmits the plane wave to the target body the detected optimal number of transmission times according to the detected optimal transmission angle; and a step where a reception beam focusing unit focuses a beam of an ultrasonic signal received from the transmitted plane wave. Accordingly, the method and a system for focusing ultrasonic wave transmission and reception using the plane wave according to the present invention uses an optical transmission condition to transmit the ultrasonic wave to the target body to focus the ultrasonic wave transmission and reception more accurately.
