<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or suppress a reduction in recording quality especially at the time of recording on a second surface in a recording device capable of executing the recording on a first surface and the second surface of an opposite side thereto of a medium, i.e., both surfaces.SOLUTION: A control section of a printer 1 can execute a first standby mode for suspending sheet transportation in a state that a leading end region at the time of recording on a first surface is nipped by discharge means (discharge driving roller 13 and discharge driven roller 14) for a predetermined period of time before a sheet in a state that the first surface faces a recording head 10 is inverted via an inversion passage formed by an intermediate roller 3. On this account, the leading end region at the time of the recording on the first surface, i.e., a rear end region at the time of recording on a second surface, is brought into a state that a second surface side is reformed so as to be convex, floating of the rear end region at the time of the recording on the second surface is suppressed and a reduction in recording quality at the time of the recording on the second surface can be prevented or suppressed.</p> |
