NOVEL STRAIN HAVING DEXTRANASE ACTIVITY AND USE THEREOF

The present invention relates to a novel bacteroides sp. strain and a use of the same, wherein the bacteroides sp. strain generates a dextranase and is selected from the group consisting of Bacteroides xylanisolvens EFEL 001 (donation number KACC91918P), Bacteroides uniformis EFEL 002 (donation number KACC91919P), and Bacteroides ovatus EFEL 003 (donation number KACC91920P). The novel bacteroides sp. strain identified in the present invention has an activity in generating a dextranase which is a dextran decomposing enzyme so as to be utilized in generating functional oligosaccharide and utilized as a food additive or a fermenting agent for producing various foods and beverages such as fermented milk, milk products, kimchi, etc.
