PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a high AF (auto-focus) precision while suppressing unnecessary power consumption and release delay, during image-capturing while performing focal point detection using auxiliary light.SOLUTION: An imaging system includes: a digital camera 100; and an external stroboscopic device 120. The external stroboscopic device 120 includes: a light-emitting part 204 which emits flash light; a bounce mechanism part 201 which changes an irradiation direction of flash light to be irradiated from the light-emitting part 204 to the subject side; a bounce detection part 205 for detecting whether or not the external stroboscopic device 120 is in a bounce state; and a stroboscope LED support light part 207 which irradiates LED support light to the subject side. When the external stroboscopic device 120 is in the bounce state, a camera MPU 101 of the digital camera 100 irradiates the subject side while selectively switching between emission of the flash light support light from the light-emitting part 204 for focal point detection and emission of the LED support light from the stroboscope LED support light part 207. |
