PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device by which equipment cost can be suppressed and an inspection for coating accuracy of a sealer can be simply carried out. ! SOLUTION: A method for inspecting a discharge amount of a sealer S which is actually discharged by a sealer gun 3 according to a movement distance thereof in a sealer coating device 1 is so configured that the sealer S, of which an amount is prescribed according to a movement distance of the sealer gun 3, can be discharged. In the method, the sealer gun 3 is moved while the sealer S being discharged along each of two routes P1, P2 having a length different from each other, and the discharge amount of the sealer S is inspected by use of a difference between respective total weights Wa, Wb of the sealer S discharged by the sealer gun 3 during movement thereof along each route P1, P2. !
