PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shooting game apparatus with which a player has a feeling as if he/she uses a real gun, it is not needed that an image is turned off for detecting the impact position in an instant, the image of an opponent when he/she is hit is changed to raise presence feeling and the shooting games rich in interest can be enjoyed. ! SOLUTION: A shooting game apparatus includes: a fighting image display unit 24 which displays images 12 including the opponent's competing posture; a target plate 16 which detects an impact position from a shot impact of a simulation bullet 78; and image switch means 34 which displays a hitting result on an achievement display screen 48 by detecting it through the impact position signals output by the target plate 16 and changes the opponent's competing posture image 12 displayed on the fighting image display unit 24 to another posture. !
