PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe AC/DC vacuum cleaner, even when a semiconductor element or the like of an AC power circuit breaks down, preventing an AC power-supply voltage from being applied to a terminal of a battery.SOLUTION: The AC/DC vacuum cleaner includes: a universal suction motor; a battery for driving the universal motor; an AC power feed part that, when being connected to an external alternator, supplies electric power for driving the universal motor and charging the battery; a DC-DC converter for switching an output voltage of the battery to supply the universal motor; and a switching control part that stops the switching when driving the universal motor by the alternator and performs the switching when driving the universal motor by the battery. The DC-DC converter is an insulation type DC-DC converter for insulating the AC receiving part and the battery from each other. |
