<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a maintenance operation in a carbonization plant for a rod-like artificial raw wood prepared by compression molding or heating compression molding a powdery raw material derived from plants such as sawdust or wood flour.SOLUTION: A microwave generation apparatus 1 being a carbonization plant brings, to heat generation, a heat-generating material in a powdery mixture prepared by blending the heat-generating material such a fine coal, graphite, or the like in a powdery material, by irradiating the heat-generating material with the microwave from a microwave source 2. Thereby, an artificial raw wood can be obtained in a non-carbonized state, and various charcoals from black charcoal to hard charcoal capable of obtaining higher temperature can be made by further red-heating. The artificial raw wood is not directly housed in an electromagnetically shielded housing 3, but is stored by housing in a guide tube 4 having nonmagnetism and heat resistance such as a glass tube or ceramic tube. Therefore, there is no disadvantage such that a high-temperature gas such as a tar generated from the artificial raw wood contacts an inner wall surface of the housing 3 having nearly room temperature to adhere thereto and thus, a maintenance operation such as cleaning is reduced to improve productivity.</p> |
