PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an a sufficient heating effect while suppressing the deterioration of fuel economy.SOLUTION: This vehicle control device comprises: an engine efficiency calculation part which calculates engine efficiency calculated from an engine output which is obtained by summing an axial output being an output for vehicle traveling and power generation, and a heat output for heating cooling water, and a fuel consumption amount; and an operation point decision part which decides an operation point of an engine. The operation point decision part decides the operation point by distributing heating energy necessary for heating to heater power which is allotted as the power of an electric heater contained in the axial output, and the heat output. |
