PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical reproduction device applicable to an optical signal (also called quadrature phase amplitude modulation signal hereafter) based on quadrature phase amplitude modulation such as a 16QAM signal.SOLUTION: The optical reproduction device includes: a demultiplexing part by which inputted signal light that is a quadrature phase amplitude modulation signal is demultiplexed into two and outputted; an I component extraction part by which an I component is extracted from one signal light resulting from demultiplexing light into two by the demultiplexing part and I component signal light containing the I component is outputted; a Q component extraction part by which a Q component is extracted from the other signal light resulting from demultiplexing light into two by the demultiplexing part and Q component signal light containing the Q component is outputted; a first optical signal reproduction part by which an amplitude of the I component signal light is reproduced and I component reproduction light is outputted; a second optical signal reproduction part by which an amplitude of the Q component signal light is reproduced and Q component reproduction light is outputted; and a multiplexing part by which the I component reproduction light and the Q component reproduction light are multiplexed and reproduction signal light is produced. |
