The present invention relates to an ultrasonic diagnosing apparatus and an operating method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ultrasonic diagnosing apparatus comprises: a ultrasonic transmit/receive part transmitting an ultrasonic signal to a target object and receiving an echo signal corresponding to the ultrasonic signal from the target object through a probe; and an operation mode controlling part setting to one mode among a first operation mode and a second operation mode in the ultrasonic transmit/receive part on the basis of an operation state information of the probe.
