PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably convey sheets while suppressing power consumption.SOLUTION: A sheet hardly becomes unstable at the leading end part compared with the intermediate part on a belt 23, and a charge is less necessary to be applied to the intermediate part with the equivalent magnitude of attraction bias to that of the leading end part. Thus, when the intermediate part is at a transfer position X1, a printer 1 reduces the attraction bias smaller than when the leading end part is at the transfer position X1. With this configuration, the sheet can be stably conveyed while power consumption is suppressed compared with a configuration to apply a constant attraction bias over the entire length of a conveyance part of the belt. |
