PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring coverage measuring method enabled to measure a coverage properly by using a taken photographic image. ! SOLUTION: A measuring method comprises: a photographic step (S12) of taking a reflected image from the surface of a spring by projecting light from a light source on the surface of the spring; a count step (S16) of counting the number of such pixels contained in the reflection image obtained at the photographic step as those higher than a set brightness; and a coverage specifying step (S20) for specifying a coverage from reference data and a count number obtained at the count step. The reference data are the data specifying the relations between the number of pixels contained in the reflected image and having a higher brightness than a preset one, and are set so that the coverage may change according to the change in the number of pixels even in the range, where the coverage exceeds 100%. !
