PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of the accuracy of light distribution control in molding a lens for lighting appliances whose side surfaces extend relatively long in the direction intersecting the light emitting surface.SOLUTION: In a molding apparatus for lighting appliance lenses, a first die 21 has a first molding surface 21a which divides a first part of a cavity to be injected with a molding material, and a second die 22 has a second molding surface 22a which divides a second part of the cavity. The first molding surface 21a includes a first molding part 21a1 and a second molding part 21a2; the first molding part 21a1 molds a light emitting surface of a lighting appliance lens; and the second molding part 21a2 is connected to the first molding part 21a1 and extends in the direction intersecting the first molding part 21a1. The first die 21 includes a first block 211 and a second block 212; the first block 211 has a shape including the first molding part 21a1; the second block 212 is bonded to the first block 211; and the boundary line B between the first block 211 and the second block 212 appears in the second molding part 21a2.
