PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder device capable of dampening a shock at the time of maximum extension of a piston rod under a less number of component elements.SOLUTION: A stopper mechanism 11 comprises the second cylinder 12 arranged at an end part 5A in the first cylinder 5, the second piston 13 moved as a piston rod 7 is moved and arranged to be fittable in the second cylinder 12, and an annular piston ring 17 having both ends partially cut apart in a circumferential direction. The outer circumference of the second piston 13 is provided with a peripheral groove 14 constituted by a bottom surface 14A, one side end surface 14B and the other side end surface 14C. A piston ring 17 is arranged in the peripheral groove 14 in such a manner that the piston ring can move in an axial direction. Both ends of the piston ring 17 have axial abutted segments 17A1, 17B1 and the radial abutted segments 17A2, 17B2. When the piston ring 17 abuts against one end surface 14B of the peripheral groove 14, the first passage 19 is constituted between it and the end surface of the piston ring 17. |
