<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device equipped with an impact absorption mechanism the cost of which can be reduced and by which a stable rupture load can be obtained.SOLUTION: A steering device 100 equipped with an impact absorption mechanism 40 comprises: an upper column tube 21 that supports a steering shaft 1; a lower column tube 22 that can be moved relatively to the upper column tube 21; and an upper fixation bracket 35 that is connected to the upper column tube 21 and has a notch part 35a on a side of a steering wheel 8. The impact absorption mechanism 40 is an integrally molded member which has: a bracket fixation part 41 fixed to the upper fixation bracket 35; a capsule part 42 which is fixed to a vehicle body and which is molded at the notch part 35a of the upper fixation bracket 35; and a rupture part that ruptures by connecting the bracket fixation part 41 to the capsule part 42 and relatively moving the upper fixation bracket 35 and the capsule part 42 to each other.</p> |
