PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developable radical curable resin polymerizable that has high hardness of a cured product and that is excellent in resistance to coloring by heat, resistance to coloring by light, adhesiveness, and processability, and suitable for electronic materials, optical materials, or the like, and a resin composition comprising the above resin.SOLUTION: A radical polymerizable resin containing a siloxane skeleton represented by general formula (1) is provided, which is obtained through steps of: allowing an alicyclic epoxy resin (a3) that is liquid at room temperature to react with a terminal carboxyl group-containing hemi-ester (a2), which is obtained by the reaction of a linear polysiloxane (a1) having a hydroxyl group at both terminals with an acid anhydride, in a molar ratio of (carboxyl groups)/(epoxy groups) controlled to 1/2 to 1/10, so as to obtain an epoxy silicone resin (a4); and allowing a (meth)acrylic acid to react with an epoxy group in the obtained epoxy silicone resin (a4). |
