Disclosed is a semiconductor device for restraining the operation lag accompanied by stop and resumption of supplying power potential. Maintained data is stored during a period continuously supplying power potential. Potential corresponding to data is stored during a period stopping supply of power potential in a node in which a capacitor is connected. And, according to resume the supply of power potential, data restoring is performed using change of a channel resistance in a transistor using a relevant node as a gate. In addition, data storing can be performed rapidly and accurately by previously recording high potential in the relevant node before storing data.
