PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a recording density in a main scanning direction inexpensively.SOLUTION: An imaging forming device, which forms an image on a recording medium by discharging ink droplets on the recording medium, comprises: a head having a nozzle hole for discharging the ink droplets on the recording medium; a main scanning direction control portion that controls movement in the main scanning direction of the head; a main scanning direction encoder that generates positional signals indicating positions in the main scanning direction of the head every predetermined intervals; a timing generation portion that generates timing signals in which phases of the positional signals are shifted; a signal outputting portion that outputs recording signals of waveform patterns responding to image data, at timings of the timing signals; and a head driving portion that discharges the ink droplets from the nozzle hole in response to the recording signals. |
