POWER REGENERATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power regeneration system in which electric power generated by an alternator can be surely stored into a capacitor and nonetheless whose constitution can be simplified.SOLUTION: A power regeneration system 1 is provided that comprises: an alternator 2 for generating electric power when a vehicle is braked; a battery 3 which can store the electric power generated by the alternator 2; and a capacitor 4 provided in parallel with the battery 3 with respect to the alternator 2, and capable of storing the electric power generated by the alternator 2. A DC-DC converter is not provided but a first relay 9 is provided between: a connection part c of first circuit 6 that electrically connects the alternator 2 and the battery 3 together and a second circuit 7 that electrically connects the first circuit 6 and the capacitor 4 together; and the battery 3 . The first relay 9 is switched on when the vehicle is braked, and the first relay 9 is switched off when the braking of the vehicle is released.
