PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved double acting pusher centrifuge in which defects caused from conventional technology are significantly avoided. ! SOLUTION: A centrifuge 1, especially a double acting pusher centrifuge 1 or a single-stage or multi-stage pusher centrifuge 1, is provided with a screen drum 3 which can rotate around a rotation shaft 2 and which separates a mixture 4 to a solid cake 5 and a liquid phase and a pusher base device 8 which is disposed in the screen drum 3, which is movable alternately to a frontward or rearward position in a first pushing direction S1 and a second pushing direction S2 along the rotation shaft 2 and, as the result, where the solid cake 5 can be alternately displaced along the rotation shaft 2. !
