PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sort an appropriate article without changing a posture of the article. ! SOLUTION: A sorting apparatus 40 includes a flat belt type conveyer 50 which forms a conveyance line M0 for linearly conveying an article 100, and a rotating sorter 60 arranged above the flat belt type conveyer 50. The rotating sorter 60 includes a pulse motor 62 and more than one, for example four sorting arms 62, 62, ... mounted on a rotation shaft 62a of the pulse motor 62. The rotating sorter 60 selectively sorts the appropriate article 100 in response to weights Wx of the articles 100 conveyed on the conveyance line M0 to three sorting destination lines M1, M2, and M3.
