PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack remaining life detection device capable of detecting the remaining life of a battery pack whose input/output voltages are constant.SOLUTION: First remaining life arithmetic means 20 calculates the remaining life of a battery pack 11 whose input/output voltages are constant on the basis of the discharge current of the battery pack when the battery pack is discharged. Second remaining life arithmetic means 22 calculates the remaining life of the battery pack 11 at the start of charging of the battery pack on the basis of the direction in which a charge current increases or decreases when the battery pack is charged and a current value of the charge current, and also calculates the remaining life of the battery pack on the basis of a charge current changing along with the charging of the battery pack and a characteristic curve of a charge current profile prepared in advance. The first remaining life arithmetic means 20 subtracts the amount of discharge calculated on the basis of the discharge current by the first remaining life arithmetic means 20 from the remaining life of the battery pack after the charging calculated by the second remaining life arithmetic means 22, and calculates the remaining life of the battery pack 11.
