<p>According to the present invention, a control method for an air conditioner comprises: a first step of rotating a discharge vane at an angle of 32-64°to a maximum opening angle when an air volume mode is on a power wind mode during a cooling operation; and a second step of switching over to a strong wind mode which is weaker than the power wind mode after the first step. As such, the air conditioner is capable of quickly cooling an indoor residential area with minimal power consumption, and prevents the residential area from being excessively cooled when a height of a ceiling of the indoor residential area is high, or the installation height of the air conditioner is high.</p> |
