PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which can be used at a temperature of -30°C or below, and which has a superior cycle characteristic and further, has an energy density over 550 Wh/L.SOLUTION: In a cylindrical nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, the energy density is 550 Wh/L or larger; the mass of an electrolytic solution is 55% or less of the mass of a lithium transition metal complex oxide; the electrolytic solution includes dimethyl carbonate; the volume ratio of the dimethyl carbonate is 20-55% to the total volume of a nonaqueous solvent; and the lithium transition metal complex oxide is expressed by the following general formula: LiNiCoAlMO(where M represents at least one element selected from a group consisting of tungsten, titanium and zirconium, 0.9≤x≤1.2, -1.0≤y≤0.1, 0.0001≤r≤0.01, and 0<p+q+r≤0.4). |
