摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of completing the charging in a short time while preventing increase in the internal pressure of a battery.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having graphite as a negative electrode material includes a step of building a battery including a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and an initial charging step of performing initial charging of a battery. In the initial charging step, charging is performed with a relatively large first current value when the amount of gas generated in the battery during the charging does not depend on the charging current value, otherwise charging is performed with a second current value smaller than the first current value.
