PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip ring which allows for compaction and high density of annular electrodes without dividing a conductive layer, and to provide a method for manufacturing a slip ring.SOLUTION: In a slip ring 80 and a method of manufacturing a slip ring, a land electrode 33 connecting an annular electrode 32 and a conductive layer 39 is formed not to exceed the through hole peripheral edge 38a on the other annular electrode 32 side. The through hole peripheral edge 38a is covered with an insulating coat 35. Consequently, sufficient insulation can be ensured between both annular electrodes 32, even if the distance between the annular electrodes 32 is narrowed. Compaction and high density of annular electrodes can be allowed without dividing the conductive layer 39.
