The apparatus has a rotor shaft (14) driven by a rotor (10) which is connected to a gear unit (16), and a generator shaft (22) is utilized to connect an output shaft of the gear unit with a generator/converter unit (24). Rotational speed detection units (26, 34) are respectively formed on the rotor shaft and the generator shaft and provided with two rotational speed sensors. A rotational speed analyzing unit (32) is utilized for generating an error signal when a rotational over-speed is detected by the rotational speed detection units. |
