The present invention relates to an intelligent system for controlling a tunnel light and a method thereof and, more particularly, to an intelligent system which has a light emitting sensor at the outside of both exits of a tunnel to individually control the illuminance of the both exits of the tunnel, and also analyzes the illuminance of an adjacent tunnel to comprehensively control the same, thereby securing the safe driving and reducing the unnecessary power consumption, and a method thereof.
