The present invention relates to a battery management system for an energy storage device. The battery management system includes at least one rack part, stack parts which are inserted into the rack part to be stacked and stores cells, and a board part which connects the stack parts in series or parallel and controls the cells. Therefore, the number of the cells is freely increased and decreased. The workability for the increase and decrease of the cells can be improved.
