The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of float of a float glass plate (1) in a stretching section (9) having a float glass plate (1), a float bath (10), a dross box (11) and an annealing lehr (12), which comprises: forming a glass ribbon (12) with a fixed width by consecutively supplying molten glass to the top of a molten metal (13) and drawing to a stretching direction (8); facing a tin side surface (15) to the molten metal (13); separately facing an upper side surface (16) from the molten metal (13); cooling the glass ribbon (14) with respect to the float bath (10); and lifting form the molten metal (13), additionally moving by a roller (17), and operating flames (fn) (33a, 33b) on the upper side surface (16) of the glass ribbon (14) in at least one position (sn) of the stretching section (9) from the top and in a desirably additional position, wherein the flame (fn) (33a) is at least 5 kw/m of flame output with respect to the width of the glass ribbon (14), desirably at least 10 kw/m, and particularly, desirably at least 15 kw/m. |
