<p>Disclosed are steel having excellent resistance to corrosion by sulfuric acid and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein operating stability and the lifetime of a facility can be improved by improving resistance to condensation corrosion by sulfuric acid via the adjustment of alloy components and the control of process conditions. The method for manufacturing steel having excellent resistance to corrosion by sulfuric acid comprises the steps of: (a) reheating, at a slab reheating temperature (SRT) of 1220°C or higher, a steel slab consisting of 0.05 to 0.08 wt% of C, 0.03 wt% or less of Si, 0.5 to 0.7 wt% of Mn, 0.018 wt% or less of P, 0.006 wt% or less of S, 0.1 to 0.4 wt% of Cu, 0.1 to 0.5 wt% of Ni, 0.1 to 1.0 wt% of Cr, 0.05 to 0.25 wt% of Sb, and the remainder consisting of iron (Fe) and other inevitable impurities; (b) conducting the finish hot rolling of the reheated steel slab at a finish rolling temperature of 800 to 1000°C; and (c) cooling the hot rolled steel.</p> |
