<p>Disclosed is a method for producing pyrollidine of formula (I) by reacting 1.4 butandiol (BDO) of formula (II) with ammoniac in the presence of hydrogen and a supported metal containing catalyser characterised in that prior to its reduction with hydrogen the catalytically active mass of the catalyser contains oxygen containing compounds of aluminium copper nickel and cobalt and oxygen containing compounds of tin in the wt.% range of 0.2 to 5.0% calculated as SnO and in that the reaction is performed in the liquid phase at an absolute pressure in the range of 160 to 220 bar at a temperature in the range of 160 to 230C using ammoniac at a molar ratio to the used BDO of 5 to 50 and in the presence of 1.0 to 4.5 wt.% hydrogen relative to the quantity of BDO used.</p> |
