A method and a device for connecting communication by selecting a communication network according to an embodiment of the present invention enable a user terminal to search all communication networks available for communication connection, enable the user to receive a communication service through an optimal communication network, and thus can provide a communication network having the fastest data transmission speed. The communication network is not selected by a communication system of a certain communication service provider but selected by the user terminal. Therefore, the user terminal can search all communication networks available for communication connection regardless of wired network or wireless network without limitation of a wireless communication network to which the user terminal subscribed. Consequently, expandability for selection of a communication network can be provided when compared to an existing technology.
