The present invention relates to a method for automating backup and firmware update by using USB and a pop-up window. The method includes: a step of inserting a USB memory storing firmware or camera firmware to an NVR; a step of an NVR control unit receiving USB memory insertion information and having a backup/update pop-up window coming on a display unit; a step of the NVR receiving a selection of a menu of backup or update, or no operation on a pop-up menu window; a step of the NVR control unit choosing either NVR or camera firm update in the case of the update selected in the above step; a step of the NVR control unit choosing the latest NVR firmware in the USB memory; and a step of the NVR control unit updating the firmware and terminating the operation. |
