SELF-ENCRYPTING DRIVE AND USER DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a self-encrypting drive which provides enhanced security, and a user device including the same. The user device includes: a host configured to output event information informing the conversion from an authorized state to an unauthorized state; and an information storage device configured to enter into the unauthorized state in response to the event information by having a nonvolatile storage medium. The information storage device provides a part of the nonvolatile storage medium as a temporary storage space in response to an access request of the host in the unauthorized state.
