PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing a network-connected thermostat.SOLUTION: A thermostat 902 of a user has an account name of bill11@sbc.com and is connected wirelessly to a computer device 918 through a private network 904. Thermostat access client metadata 922 having the account name of bill11@sbc.com and a public network address of 76.21.3.203 transmitted from the computer device 918 to a paring server 908 is registered with a thermostat management account entry 913. The paring server 908 starts "auto-paring" between a thermostat registration pool entry 911 and the thermostat management account entry 913 to form association as they have a matching public network address of 76.21.3.203. |
