PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furnace wall repair method capable of preventing too much amount of spray coating even if a deceleration or acceleration is slow when a spray nozzle changes its direction and reducing a step between a spray coating part and a part to be spray coated.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a furnace wall repair method by spray coating under utilization of a thermit reaction system and the like for melting refractory powder with oxidization reaction heat of metallic powder and depositing it to a repair location when a position of a spray nozzle is mechanically moved, a mixture of metallic powder and refractory powder is used as spraying material and the spraying material is blown off to the furnace wall repair location from the spray nozzle in which oxygen concentration of gas used for blowing and depositing the mixture against the repair location from the spray nozzle and is adjusted so as to adjust a thickness of the sprayed coat applied on the repair location.
