PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slave device which compensates deterioration of a clock signal. ! SOLUTION: A synchronous serial communication method includes: inputting and processing a clock signal, a data signal, and a chip enable signal, from a master device or a pre-stage slave device; identifying or controlling a slave device in a stage of interest; and reproducing and transferring the clock signal, the data signal, and the chip enable signal from the slave device to the post-stage slave device. When a reference pulse is input from the master device or the pre-stage slave device before the arrival of a data section of the data signal, the reference pulse having a pulse width which is n times a half period of the clock signal, the slave device in the stage of interest corrects duty of the clock signal on the basis of the pulse width of the reference pulse, to transfer the clock signal with the corrected duty to the post-stage slave device, as a new clock signal. !
